About the event

Join us for a morning of hands-on exploration and discovery at the UW–Madison Arboretum! Students will experience nature up close while learning about the plants, trees, wildlife, and ecosystems that make the Arboretum such a special place. The Arboretum's educational program is designed to help students connect with nature by exploring it like scientists. Rather than simply hearing about the natural world, students will be encouraged to observe, ask questions, investigate, look for patterns, and think about why things in nature work the way they do.

Each group's activities and discussions will be tailored to their age, making this a great opportunity for both our youngest explorers and our older students to dig deeper, make discoveries, and experience science firsthand.
