About the event

Come experience Wisconsin’s cranberry harvest firsthand! Join us for the Splash of Red Cranberry Tour in Pittsville, Wisconsin, hosted by the Pittsville FFA and students from the nation’s only Cranberry Science Class.

This approximately two-hour, all-inclusive tour will take us into the heart of Central Wisconsin cranberry country, where we’ll get an up-close look at how one of Wisconsin’s most iconic crops is grown and harvested. What We'll Experience:

Pittsville FFA members and Cranberry Science students will guide us through the cranberry-growing and harvesting process. Depending on harvest conditions, our tour may include:

  • Visiting a working cranberry marsh during harvest

  • Seeing new cranberry beds and established producing beds

  • Learning how cranberries are grown and harvested

  • Watching berries being collected, cleaned, and unloaded

  • Learning directly from students who study cranberry science

This is a wonderful opportunity for kids to see agriculture, science, and Wisconsin history come together in a real working environment.
