Fergusons Apple Orchard

Join us for a fun fall day at Ferguson's Apple Orchard in Eau Claire, Wisconsin! Students will have the opportunity to learn, explore, play, and experience life at an apple orchard firsthand.

As part of our visit, students will take an interactive wagon ride through the orchard, where they will learn about different types and varieties of apples, how apples are grown, what apple trees need to thrive, and the work that goes into caring for an orchard.

Our group will be divided into two groups. While one group enjoys the educational orchard tour, the other will have time to play and explore Ferguson's many farm activities, and then the groups will switch. Afterward, we'll come back together for lunch.

There is plenty to explore, including:

• Jumping pad

• Cow train and grain train

• Corn pit and corn maze

• Pedal tractors

• Farm animals

• Barnyard Ball, including basketball, football, and baseball

• Straw bale pyramid

• Lawn games

• Country store and bakery

• And plenty more!

Field Trip Details

WHERE: Ferguson Orchards, 6470 Balsam Rd, Eau Claire, WI

WHEN: September 23, 10:00 a.m.–1:30 p.m.

ARRIVAL: Please arrive by 10:00 a.m. to allow plenty of time to park, use the restroom, check in, and get settled into what group you will be assigned into.

The wagon tour through orchard will depart promptly at 10:30 a.m., so please plan accordingly.

WHO CAN ATTEND: Each Pella Hill student may attend with up to two adults, and siblings of Pella Hill students are also welcome to join us for FREE.

Additional guests who are not Pella Hill students or their siblings are welcome to attend at the following rates:

Children/Adult: $8 each

Picnic Lunch

After our adventures, we’ll gather together for a picnic sack lunch right on site! Please bring your own lunch as well as a picnic blanket or folding/camping chair to sit on (there are also picnic tables). *Please keep coolers in vehicles.

What to Bring:

• Sack lunch

• Water bottle

• Picnic blanket or folding/camping chair

• Warm jacket or layers — it will be fall!

• Sunglasses and/or hat

• Sunscreen

• Optional spending money for the country store, bakery, and other farm goodies
