Kick-Off Day Information

Arrival Time

Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early. This will give your family time to find the meeting space, use the restroom, and get settled before we begin. Please park in Lot R - Pella is paying for parking.

Kick-Off Event

The Kick-Off is designed to prepare your entire family for a successful school year. Throughout the day, we'll cover important information, introduce key school resources, and walk you through everything you'll need to feel confident as the year begins.

While parents attend informational sessions, students will enjoy a fun and engaging experience with the Raptor Education Group, where they'll have the opportunity to learn about live birds of prey and the important role they play in our environment.

Students will also be introduced to Spark, Pella Hill's online student platform.

Afterward, families can head over to Pella Hill Headquarters to pick up any curriculum and materials that have arrived and are ready for pickup.

Lunch is included, so please be sure to register everyone in your family who will be attending.

Lunch

Lunch will be provided by UWSP and includes both a Southwest Taco Buffet and a Salad Buffet.

Southwest Taco Buffet

• Adobo Chicken, Ground Beef, Pico de Gallo, Queso, Shredded Cheese, Shredded Lettuce, Sour Cream, Tomatoes, Cookies

Salad Buffet

• Iceberg Lettuce & Spinach Mix, Diced Ham, Shredded Chicken, Black Beans, Tomatoes, Mushrooms, Red Onions, Cucumbers, Black Olives, Shredded Cheese, Balsamic Dressing, Ranch Dressing, Dessert Bars

Food Allergies: If anyone in your family has food allergies or dietary restrictions that cannot be accommodated by the buffet, please plan to bring a sack lunch.

Curriculum Pickup

At 3:00 PM, the official Kick-Off program concludes, and families will head to Pella Hill Headquarters to pick up their curriculum.

Family Social

After picking up your curriculum, you're invited to join us at the Worzella Family Shelter at Lake Pacawa for an evening of fellowship and fun.

This is a wonderful opportunity to meet other Pella Hill families, reconnect with friends, enjoy dinner, and let the kids play together. Pella will provide dinner, menu TBD.

Lake Pacawa features:

• Large ADA-accessible playground

• Splash pad

• Plenty of space to relax and socialize

Be sure to pack swimsuits, towels, and anything else your family will need for an evening at the park.

Overnight Accommodations

For families traveling from farther away, we have reserved a block of rooms at the Hampton Inn in Plover for anyone who would like to stay overnight nearby. Pella Hill families can stay at a reduced rate of $100 per room - please contact them at 715-295-9900. Hotel rooms in the block are only available through July 15th so please act promptly if you will be utilizing the hotel.
