Digging into the Weeds

Join this Beyond the Basics Class where your student starts to answer the questions: Do you know what's in your back yard? What are the purpose of all those "weeds"? We are going to dig in together to discover plant medicine that God placed everywhere for us to benefit from.

This class will meet 2 separate times via Zoom on Thursday from 1:00-2:00 p.m.

Your student will be added to this class in their SPARK account, where it will appear on their schedule along with the Zoom link for each class meeting. This class is only open to Pella Hill Virtual Academy students.

Please note that the class dates listed above will not automatically populate on your personal calendar. Be sure to add these dates to your calendar so you don’t miss a class.

Pella Hill is covering the cost of this class. This is not coming out of your students provision. Registration includes a herbalism journal needed for the class.

Your teacher, Mrs. Yentsch, will provide any additional instructions for the class.

*Parent Note:

This class includes instruction on making herbal tinctures and extracts. As part of the educational content, we will discuss the traditional use of alcohol as an herbal extraction method. We will also explore alcohol-free alternatives, including glycerites and other extraction methods. Discussion of alcohol is strictly within the context of herbal preparation and education. Students will not be required to use alcohol to participate in the class.

Registration closes August 28th at 5:00pm to allow enough time for class materials to be ordered and mailed to students before the class begins.
